9,000,001 bicycles in Beijing
Posted on Tuesday, April 18, 2006 @ 14:47:26 EDT by admin
Join Katie Melua for the ultimate challenge event – cycling from the Great Wall of China to Tiananmen Square, Beijing.

The adventure takes you though a country immersed in history, mythology and ancient traditions. This huge mass of land has the largest population on Earth. The bicycle is the unofficial symbol of China with more than 300 million on the road.

A journey of a lifetime, travelling from the Great Wall to Tiananmen Square. Covering around 400km in 5 unforgettable days.

The challenge takes us deep into the countryside through the hills around Beijing passing lush paddy fields, tiny villages, the historic Ming Tombs and of course stretches of the majestic Great Wall.

Once in a lifetime opportunity
This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to join your favourite pop icon in raising vital funds for the UK's leading international Children’s Charity.

To take part, we require a non-refundable registration fee of £300 and your commitment to raise a minimum of £3,000 in sponsorship. The great news is that the money you raise will support vital work with Children around the world. Be part of it!

To find out more email the team at events@savethechildren.org.uk or call 020 7012 6414.
