The launch of aGoodCause.co.uk, enables you to make a difference in the world by supporting a good cause when shopping online – at no extra cost. No more excuses for not chipping in – join the good cause revolution and become the modern activist you always dreamt of – all you need to do is to log onto www.agoodcause.co.uk.

aGoodCause.co.uk - Shopping for a better world

There are more than 40 charities to support such as Save the Children. Help the Aged, British Red Cross, Marie Curie Cancer Care and Christian Aid. You can shop away at 600 online stores including Tesco, Ebay, House of Fraser, iTunes and Amazon.

The concept is straight forward; go to www.agoodcause.co.uk and download the AidMaker freeware. When you have installed AidMaker, simply select a cause to support and shop at one of the 600 partner stores. You pay the normal store price for your product but the retailer donates a part of the total purchase to the cause you have decided to support – nothing is added to the price and you decide where the money goes. Up to 75 percent of the total purchase price will go to charity.

Co-founder, Jonathan Low says: “You can buy anything you need - electronics, fashion, travels, foods etc. – the list goes on and on. The thing is that instead of just buying the product you also support a worthy cause – free of charge.”

www.agoodcause.co.uk has teamed up with a range of well-known charities such as the Cystic Fibrosis Trust, Guide Dogs for the Blind, the Down’s Syndrome Association, British Red Cross and Save the Children. Joining retail partners include Waterstone’s, HMV, Cofman Travel, Figleaves, Miss Selfridge, Match.com, Dell, Interflora, Virgin and hundreds more.

Louise Parkes of Help the Aged explains why the charity partnered with agoodcause.co.uk: “As more and more shoppers turn to the web to purchase everything from luxuries to essentials, this represents an exciting opportunity for charities to offer those people the chance to combine their online shopping with support for a good cause. Consumers then have the feel-good factor of helping established charities carry out their vital work, whilst they shop at their favourite retailers, all at no extra cost.”

One of the biggest reasons for the success of agoodcause.co.uk is that once you have installed the AidMaker software you do not have to remember to enable the program or re-choose your favorite cause every time you shop online. The software does it for you. You just go online and AidMaker does the rest – but you are always in charge. How to join the good cause? All it takes is two clicks
1. You visit www.agoodcause.co.uk and install the free AidMaker software onto your computer.
2. Now you choose your favorite humanitarian cause to support and start to shop.

AidMaker is approved by VeriSign and is spyware, adware and spam free. It is free to download and use. No registration of name or e-mail is needed to get started. Other shops that support the good cause in UK are Advanced Mp3 Players, Fasthosts, Harris Interactive, Meaningful Travel, StrawberryNET, Betterware, DFDS Seaways, Mbopmegastore.com, Lensbase, Icelandair, Just-eat.co.uk, Hotels.com, Misco, Amorbingo.com, Acxiom, Match.com and DLG. For a complete list of partner stores and charities please visit www.agoodcause.co.uk.
