At the time of writing Save the Children is the only UK charity running feeding programmes for malnourished children and we couldn't do this without your support

Below is an example of what a donation to our Niger Emergency Appeal could buy:

£10 =

500 sachets of Oral Rehydration Salts (one per child)

£10 =

1,000 vitamin a tablets (one per child)

£25 =

12.5Kg plumpynut. 150 sachets can help 150 moderately malnourished children or 35 severely malnourished children per day. One sachet of plumpynutcan be consumed directly without dilution or cooking.

£50 =

2 boxes of F100 Therapeutic feeding milk that contains all nutrients necessary in treatment of severe malnutrition, 1Kg to be diluted in 2 litres of clean drinking water.

£50 =

Scales and trousers and a height board which determine the weight and height of the children to assess their eatre of malnutrition.

£100 =

16,000 water purification tablets creating as many litres of clean water

£100 =

One hygenie and sanitation kit to help around 50 people.
