Today is World Health Day, yet the promise of basic healthcare for all remains unfulfilled for millions of children around the world. Far too many children still die needlessly of treatable diseases like pneumonia or diarrhoea.
We're determined to save these lives, and have attracted some serious support for our campaign in the process!
Save the Children will be working with the Elders - a group of leading advocates such as Nelson Mandela, Archbishop Desmond Tutu, Graça Machel and Mary Robinson - to drastically reduce the numbers of children dying before they reach their fifth birthday. And we'd like you to join with us.
"There is nothing more precious than the life of a child. This is where we find hope for the future. I encourage people around the world to make their voices heard and back this campaign."
Archbishop Desmond Tutu.
What are you waiting for?
The Declaration is 60 years old this year, so celebrate its birthday by signing up to the principle of equal rights for all.
Best wishes,
The Campaigns Team

We are the world's independent children's charity. We're outraged that millions of children are still denied proper healthcare, food, education and protection. We're working flat out to get every child their rights and we're determined to make further, faster changes. How many? How fast? It's up to you.
